# Create Meeting

POST https://api.revero.no/public/v1/meetings
Content-Type: application/json

Create a meeting, idempotent within the OAuth client by external_id.

Reference: https://docs.revero.no/api-reference/revero-public-api/public-api/create-public-meeting

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Revero-owned OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials. Obtain tokens only from a backend; never place the client secret in browser code.

## Servers

- `https://api.revero.no` (Production, default)
- `https://api.staging.revero.no` (Staging)

## Request

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects a MeetingCreate.

- `external_id` (string, required) — Your own identifier for this meeting. Creation is idempotent on it: re-sending an identical request returns the same meeting with 200 instead of 201. Re-using it for a DIFFERENT request (other documents, another language) is a 409 `external_id_conflict`. One meeting carries ONE recording, so this identifier is what decides the shape of your own data model. A gathering captured in several sittings, such as a lunch break or a session resumed the next day, is several meetings with several `external_id`s, not several recordings under one. Completing a second recording for a meeting already being processed is a 409 `meeting_already_processing`.
- `language` (string, optional, default: no) — Spoken language, for transcription and generation.
- `output_profiles` (list of string, optional) — Which documents this meeting should produce, by stable profile key. Each becomes one output resource you fetch separately. The profile VERSION is pinned now: publishing a new version later never changes what this meeting produces. Defaults to the transcript alone.
- `locked_context` (map from string to any, optional, nullable) — Your authoritative facts about this meeting — a case number, participants, a date. Stored encrypted, returned as its own field, and never rewritten by generation: your system stays authoritative for legal and business facts. Captured ONCE, on the request that creates the meeting, so a later call with the same external_id cannot restate it under documents already generated from it. At most 16384 bytes serialized.

## Response

### 200

Idempotent replay — a meeting with this `external_id` already existed and the request matches it. The same resource is returned; nothing was created.

- `id` (string, required) — Revero's identifier for this meeting.
- `external_id` (string, required) — Your identifier, exactly as you sent it.
- `status` (enum, required) — Coarse state of the meeting as a whole.
  - Allowed values: `awaiting_upload`, `processing`, `completed`, `failed`, `cancelled`
- `language` (string, required) — The language this meeting is processed in.
- `created_at` (datetime, required) — When the meeting was created.
- `updated_at` (datetime, required) — When this resource last changed.
- `recordings` (list of RecordingRead, required) — Audio uploaded for this meeting, as metadata.
- `outputs` (list of OutputRead, required) — The documents this meeting declared, as metadata. Fetch each one's content from its own resource.
- `locked_context` (map from string to any, optional, nullable) — Exactly the facts you supplied at creation. Returned beside the generated documents rather than inside them, and never derived from one — a model cannot promote its own guess into this field.

### 201

A newly created meeting and its declared outputs.

## Errors

### 401 Unauthorized Error

`invalid_token` — the bearer token is missing, expired, revoked, or belongs to a client whose organisation is suspended or no longer entitled to the Public API. Obtain a new token; if that also fails, an administrator must act.

- `code` (string, required) — Stable, machine-readable reason for the refusal
- `message` (string, required) — Human-readable explanation. Never parse this.

### 403 Forbidden Error

`insufficient_scope`, or `output_profile_unavailable` — a requested output profile's template is not available to this organisation. The key is valid; the grant is missing, and only an administrator can add one. Retrying will not change the answer.

- `code` (string, required) — Stable, machine-readable reason for the refusal
- `message` (string, required) — Human-readable explanation. Never parse this.

### 409 Conflict Error

`external_id_conflict` — this `external_id` already identifies a different request (another language, or another set of output profiles). Use a new `external_id`; the first request's `locked_context` is never restated.

- `code` (string, required) — Stable, machine-readable reason for the refusal
- `message` (string, required) — Human-readable explanation. Never parse this.

### 422 Unprocessable Entity Error

`unknown_output_profile` — an `output_profiles` entry names a document this release does not offer; the message lists the offending keys and the valid ones, and `GET /output-profiles` lists what your organisation may ask for. `validation_error` — any other malformed body.

- `code` (string, required) — Stable, machine-readable reason for the refusal
- `message` (string, required) — Human-readable explanation. Never parse this.

### 503 Service Unavailable Error

`processing_unavailable` — Revero cannot process content in this environment yet. Platform-wide, identical for every organisation here, and changed by neither you nor a Revero administrator. Not a retry you can win; contact Revero.

- `code` (string, required) — Stable, machine-readable reason for the refusal
- `message` (string, required) — Human-readable explanation. Never parse this.

## Types

### RecordingRead

One uploaded audio object and where its ingest stands.

- `id` (string, required) — Revero's identifier for this recording.
- `meeting_id` (string, required) — The meeting this recording belongs to.
- `status` (enum, required) — Ingest state. Terminal values will not change again.
  - Allowed values: `awaiting_upload`, `uploaded`, `processing`, `transcribed`, `failed`, `cancelled`, `purged`, `unrecoverable`
- `content_type` (string, required) — The MIME type declared when the upload was prepared.
- `created_at` (datetime, required) — When the upload was prepared.
- `updated_at` (datetime, required) — When this resource last changed.
- `size_bytes` (integer, optional, nullable) — Size of the uploaded object as Revero verified it. Null until the upload has been completed.
- `uploaded_at` (datetime, optional, nullable) — When Revero verified the object in storage — not when your browser finished sending it. Null until completion.

### OutputRead

One declared document, as metadata. Fetch its content separately.

- `id` (string, required) — Fetch this document's content from `/outputs/{id}`.
- `meeting_id` (string, required) — The meeting this document belongs to.
- `profile_key` (string, required) — Which document this is, as named when the meeting was created.
- `profile_version` (integer, required) — Pinned when the meeting was created. A newer version published since then does not apply to this document.
- `schema_version` (string, required) — Version of the public payload shape used by `content` and `structured_data` for this output.
- `status` (enum, required) — Where this document stands. Content is readable at `completed`.
  - Allowed values: `pending`, `generating`, `completed`, `failed`, `cancelled`
- `created_at` (datetime, required) — When the document was declared.
- `updated_at` (datetime, required) — When this resource last changed.
- `failure_code` (enum, optional, nullable) — Why this document failed, or null. Branch on this rather than on prose; see the operation's `retryable` for whether re-sending could help.
  - Allowed values: `upload_unreadable`, `transcription_failed`, `transcription_empty`, `generation_failed`, `processing_not_entitled`, `output_profile_unavailable`, `organisation_key_unavailable`, `jurisdiction_unavailable`, `internal_error`
- `completed_at` (datetime, optional, nullable) — When it became readable. Null until then.
