# Prepare Recording Upload

POST https://api.revero.no/public/v1/meetings/{meeting_id}/recordings

Create a recording and return a one-hour direct-upload request.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Revero-owned OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials. Obtain tokens only from a backend; never place the client secret in browser code.

This endpoint expects a RecordingCreate.

- `content_type` (string, optional, default: audio/webm) — MIME type of the audio. The presigned request is issued for exactly this type, and completion refuses an object whose stored type differs — send the same value as the `Content-Type` header on your upload.

## Response

### 201

A recording resource and its short-lived direct-upload instruction.

- `id` (string, required) — Revero's identifier for this recording.
- `meeting_id` (string, required) — The meeting this recording belongs to.
- `status` (enum, required) — Ingest state. Terminal values will not change again.
  - Allowed values: `awaiting_upload`, `uploaded`, `processing`, `transcribed`, `failed`, `cancelled`, `purged`, `unrecoverable`
- `content_type` (string, required) — The MIME type declared when the upload was prepared.
- `created_at` (datetime, required) — When the upload was prepared.
- `updated_at` (datetime, required) — When this resource last changed.
- `upload` (PresignedUpload, required) — This is the only part of the response safe to give browser code.
- `size_bytes` (integer, optional, nullable) — Size of the uploaded object as Revero verified it. Null until the upload has been completed.
- `uploaded_at` (datetime, optional, nullable) — When Revero verified the object in storage — not when your browser finished sending it. Null until completion.

## Errors

### 401 Unauthorized Error

`invalid_token` — the bearer token is missing, expired, revoked, or belongs to a client whose organisation is suspended or no longer entitled to the Public API. Obtain a new token; if that also fails, an administrator must act.

### 403 Forbidden Error

`insufficient_scope` — the token is valid but was not issued with the scope this route requires. Request the scope at token exchange.

### 404 Not Found Error

`meeting_not_found` — see `GET /meetings/{meeting_id}`.

### 409 Conflict Error

`meeting_not_accepting_uploads` — this meeting has already moved past the upload stage.

### 415 Unsupported Media Type Error

`unsupported_audio_type` — the declared `content_type` is not an audio type Revero accepts.

### 422 Unprocessable Entity Error

Invalid request

## Types

### PresignedUpload

A single-object upload grant. The only thing here safe to give a browser. It carries no Revero credential and authorises writing one object, once, until it expires. Never send your client secret or bearer token to browser code.

- `url` (string, required) — Upload the audio bytes here, directly to object storage.
- `headers` (map from string to string, required) — Send these verbatim on the upload. `Content-Type` must match the type you declared, or completion refuses the object.
- `expires_at` (datetime, required) — After this the grant is dead — prepare a new recording rather than retrying the upload.
- `method` (string, optional, default: PUT) — Use this HTTP method exactly as returned. Do not hard-code or reinterpret it.
